Guyana Land of many waters is a melange of Caribbean and Amerindian influences. Stunning waterfalls, virgin rain forest and vast river systems combine to create one of the world's most exciting destinations for adventure travel and exploration. Georgetown - Guyana's capital city and chief port - is situated on the right bank of the estuary of the Demerara River.

Guyana's capital has wide, tree-lined avenues, lily-covered canals, and many fine examples of 18th and 19th century colonial buildings. Georgetown's tropical botanical gardens, as one might expect in a country of such incredible natural beauty, are considered to be among the very best in the world. Some of the places to visit includes:
1. Kaieteur Falls
2. Orinduik Falls
3. Iwokrama Rainforest reserve and Canopy Walkway
4. Shell Beach
5. Essequibo River
6. The Kanuku Mountains
I like staying at: Tuscany Villas.

In North-eastern South America, right above Brazil and to the right of Venezuela (assuming a north-oriented map). It's sandwiched between Venezuela and Suriname.
I don't know much about the country... just that it has a lot of tropical jungle, and that the capital is Georgetown

Guyana is an exceptional natural beauty with wonderful combination of the Caribbean and South America which is ideal destination for family as well. It is a place of wonder where nature has placed its supreme resources.

Lots of beautiful places are located especially for summer like Kaieteur Falls, Kaieteur National Park, Kanuku Mountains, Mabaruma, Marshall Falls and Iwokrama Rain Forest.

Guyana officially the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, previously the colony of British Guiana, is a sovereign state on the northern coast of South America that is culturally part of the Anglophone Caribbean. Guyana was a former colony of the Dutch and (for over 200 years) of the British. It is the only state of the Commonwealth of Nations on mainland South America.

Guyana (pronounced /ɡaɪˈænə/ ( listen) gy-an-ə), officially the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, previously the colony of British Guiana, is a sovereign state on the northern coast of South America that is culturally part of the Anglophone Caribbean. Guyana was a former colony of the Dutch and (for over 200 years) of the British. It is the only state of the Commonwealth of Nations on mainland South America, and it is also a member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which has its secretariat headquarters in Guyana's capital, Georgetown. Guyana achieved independence from the United Kingdom on 26 May 1966, and became a Republic on 23 February 1970.
