What is the best country to live in Europe?

Postby sacredtravelguide on Tue Dec 28, 2010 10:07 am

In a few years I would like to work and live abroad in another country other then Canada, I would either live there for a couple of years or a very long time. I was born in England, where half my family lives, the other half in Germany, only my parents live in Canada. I Speak English, alright German (currently learning), decent french (spoke for quite a long time). I'd also want a decent party kind of life along with decent work.

Well, my vote is for Italy because last year I visited there with family and it was beyond my expectation. The local people were friendly and helpful which I really like, so I think it would be a perfect place for living.

If you want a nice fresh air to wake up to everyday and see the mountains you should move to Austria. If you like shopping move to Italy, like Milan the shopping capital of the world. Hope you like soccer because that's what Europeans mostly play :) Those are just a few ideas. I'm traveler and I've been allmost all the counties in Europe. Hope this helps

Canada is a great place to live if you don’t mind the cold winters ;0) People are friendly, crime is low, and each province has its own beauty and culture. Large cities are melting pots for people of other countries and everyone blends in. English and French are national languages but many here speak other languages and manage to get along fine. Note if you want to fit in… Be considerate and polite as those born here appreciate that. Canadians aren’t politically correct they’re are just nice to nice people. Quebec while being a beautiful province has problems with getting along with others. Sometimes they can be rude to guests. It is expensive to live here.

UK also has it’s own beauty with rolling hills, great pubs and social circles also has a somewhat lower standard of living compared to some other countries. The climate while somewhat rainy is moderate. The people are friendly and will try to go out of their way to ensure your comfort and orientation. Larger cities have high crime rates. It is expensive for residence, food or other necessities.

USA differs from state to state. The eastern seaboard has more crime than does the west and is humid compared to the dryer east with the exception of New Mexico which also has the largest crime rate in the US. Large cities are expensive to live in with some New York properties untouchable by average standards.

Thanks......

In my opinion it is Zurich, Switzerland
The most cherished destination on earth is Zurich with a population of 376,815. The place is also known as the commercial, financial and cultural hub of the country. Located at the northwestern part of Lake Zurich, close to the River Limmat, this city is considered as the paradise of earth. The splendid Zurich boasts of over 2,000 bars and restaurants along with a magnificent view of the Alps and Lake Zurich. The beautiful scenic views and excellent living standard of Zurich entitle the place with a nickname of "City of Best Quality Life."

The newly-released uSwitch Quality of Life index ranked France as the #1 place to live in Europe for the second year in a row, with the U.K. coming in toward the bottom of the list at #9. The study examined a total of 16 factors, including average net income and cost of goods such as fuel, food and energy bills in determining the rankings.

I may choose a place which offers peaceful environment and safety of my family. In Europe there are numerous places which are luxurious and crowded. I may recommend two places Iceland and Mauritania in northern europe.
