My husband and I want to take our boys (ages 6 and 8) to the Caribbean in July to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We just can't figure out where. We've been to Puerto Rico and British Virgin Islands, and would like to try something new. Jamaica and Dominican Republic are also not on our list of possibilities. We are considering the Cayman Islands, Aruba, Anguilla, Cozumel, St. John's.
We've stayed in private villas in Tortola (twice) and love the privacy they give, but I think we'll be looking for a hotel/resort on this trip to give our boys more possibilities. I don't want a hotel with a big gate that we're afraid to leave without the resort tourguides. I want to feel safe on vacation -- and not feel like I'm taking advantage of the local population.
Any destination suggestions for our family trip would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
