Read your camera's manual. I know its boring and tedious, but you will be glad you did if you don't totally understand how to use the camera. I've read my manual twice all the way through (and it's a big manual), and I refer to it now and then when I need a refresher.

Change Your Perspective: You can add a whole lotta drama to your photo just by changing your perspective a bit. For example, instead of taking a photo straight on, get down to the floor and shoot upwards, or conversely, take a photo from above looking down. This simple technique can transform your photo from ordinary to extraordinary! So think about the story you're trying to tell, then move around and find the best vantage point to relay that story.

I think you are suing an SLR 10 mega pixel one.. Even if you are a beginner in photography you can take pics by changing all the settings to auto.(there is an option). Read the manual carefully and experiment before you set off. Photography tricks can be learned only through experimentation.. Try with the auto mode first and then slowly go ahead with other simple techniques.. There are more options too for taking different types of photos..check that out too.

Surprisingly! It’s like you understand my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some images to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is wonderful forum. A good read. I’ll certainly be back.

Photography needs patience. Visualize the wonderful pictures and videos you see on National Geography and Discovery channels. Their photography fans spend days and nights ready for the ideal moment.
