If you intresting to visit Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Center, Ellis Island Immigration Museum, Staten Island Ferry, American Museum of Natural History, Central Park, Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) you must have to go New york. Some of the best shopping in the world, from the Upper West Side designer shops of Madison Avenue, down to Macy's at herald square there is something for everyone. In the event you have children you they will love the collection of toys at FAO Schwartz or the new Toys R Us on Times Square. The Biggest toy store in the world.

New York is a walkers paradise.
Everyday there is something new to discover in the streets.
A few "unmissables"
1. Central Park - stroll
2. Grand Central Station
3. Liberty Cruise (The evening one)
4. Times Square and the various shops around it.
5. Brooklyn bridge.
6. Empire State Building - Go to the observatory on top. Preferably in the evening.
7. BAGELS !!

If you have visited Las Vegas or intend to visit it, Atlantic City can be given a miss. Otherwise, best to take greyhounds from port authority. They have some schemes too for casinos.
What about DC and Niagara ?
