Gran Caribe Real Resort

We will be visiting Cancun in July of this year. Staying at the Grand Caribe Real Resort. I have been to Cancun 5 times but the last time was 2003 so I know alot has changed. Can anyone give me any reviews on this property? I was a little scared at first about visiting again because of the travel warning to Mexico but from what I see all the violence is far away from Cancun, is this true?

Cancun is a very popular vacation destination for all ages. Most would define traveling off-peak as "traveling outside rush-hours to avoid overcrowding in public means of transport." This sounds all too simple and as we might expect - easier said than done. If you love to be around other tourist than I recommend any time of the year to visit Mexico.
By traveling off-peak, not only will you get cheaper flights and accommodations. You will also gain a difference perspective on travel - especially the added advantage of enjoying your dream destinations without huddling with the masses of tourists during holidays.

hope u have a great holidays and u have a great trip..
thanks..

we just got back from cancun after staying there for one week. Our plane was late so we did not get to the hotel till 1am to find the receptionist very impersonal and non welcoming.we were very surprised to say the least. Our room was very nice.clean and fairly roomy.we were traveling with our 17 year old son.when we checked in we were given a card with an appt. time of 230pm the next day with sunwing.for two days the rep.did not show so we had to book with another company.it was a tad stressfull. The pools were fine ,small but nice.

Cancun is not a place where you will get bored, unless of course, that is the purpose of your visit. In Cancun even relaxing is never boring. At first its the beach that draws us. But the Paradise doesn’t end there. Offering fine cuisine through a vast assortment of international restaurants, and also possessing many luxurious hotels, a thrilling nightlife, excellent shopping at the many duty-free malls, and artisan markets where bartering is the key to a cheap price, Cancun is the place to be.
I like staying at: Tuscany Villas.

I have over all much good experience. The hotel-building is at the top of the hotel-zone and not so much far from the coco bongo clubs and also near to the flea-market. The rooms are very sparkling, staff very welcoming.
