Spread over an area of 96 hectares of lawn and botanical gardens with more than 280 botanical species, the Park has a desert garden with "fallaj" or traditional irrigation system and many flower gardens. The Creekside Park Dubai has children's playing grounds, barbecue sites, amphitheater with seating capacity for 1,200 people, information booth, 18 hole mini-golf course, 3 jetties for fishing, 2 restaurants and a number of kiosks for refreshments, walking and jogging tracks, and exit points for abras (boat trips are to be introduced at a later date). Other major attraction at the Park is Children's City, taking young minds on a journey through the human body, science and space, with the help of different 'zones'.

I think Dubai imports normal soil to plant the grasses/trees on and then they have this amazing watering system with hoses embedded in the soil. These hoses has holes that regularly spurt water!
