I've been thinking of taking Blue Mountains Tour with Oztrek for $55 only. Which is better between taking this organised tour or doing it yourself with a train ride to Katoomba plus trolley? Am getting a MyMulti 1 Weekly Pass $41. Since this is a day trip, I wanna get the most out of it. Is there much difference to the cost? Thanks again.

I would like to share information on the climate in the place..
The climate of the Blue Mountains is somewhat more temperate than the lower Sydney region. There is generally a 2°C drop in temperature every 300 metres increase in altitude. Therefore with Mount Victoria being over 1000 metres above Sea Level, you would expect the temperature to be around 7°C lower than Sydney...

The Blue Mountains generally has a reputation for snow in winter, however, despite the cool temperatures there are only around 5 snow days per year in the upper mountains...

What is the best way to explore the Blue Mountains?
I have 2 days to explore the Blue Mountains, and want to make the most of my time! I have been looking at tours as I will be travelling alone, and am quite keen on going to Featherdale, and I would also like to do some walking in the area, as I am a Acton. However, I think it would be more sensible, as a young, single, female traveller, to go with a group. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?
